I guess now that all the sport seasons are over, the "current" versions of sports games are flocking to Game Pass
Yes. Squadrons is nice
Squadrons.. I enjoy watching sports but hate sports games. I get it though it is march so sports are upon us
Gonna try out Squadrons for sure!
Interesting that Game Pass wave 1 of the month only goes up to tomorrow (outside the 2 EA Play games with no date) rather than the usual half way point of the month.
If I didn't already have football manager this would be great lol... Some big games there though
Hmm... it's not my month.
Too busy trying to get to grips with Elite Dangerous 😁 And I already own NBA 2K21.
Nice to see all the EA games come to gamepass just a few monthes after release..
@Bmartin001 yeah it's a lot faster than the 9-12 month wait I was expecting. Also NBA is in gamepass vs actually in EA Play so you don't need GP Ultimate...nice move.
@Krzzystuff That is because NBA2K21 is not an EA game
@SeriesNext ROFL!!!! I saw 2K and knew it was 2K but I honestly was like wow that's a pretty cool deal with EA...in my defense I am blond. It's only offensive if you say it... FYI
Squadrons and Football manager! Wow!
I'll definitely try out Squadrons, nice.
I'm surprised and slightly annoyed The Witcher 3 is going. Possibility of Cyberpunk incoming?
@ResoluteCustoms i was thinking the same thing but i think they will only launch it in GP once they fix up the Xbone experience...is it all fixed or is it still pretty buggy?
@GamingFan4Lyf Yeah they know EXCATLY when their sales start to tail off and add them to EA Play. (not complaining, this is sensible business)
It's why you don't see FIFA 21 here, it's still raking it in.
Already bought FM21 to show my support at launch, but nice to see it on Game Pass reaching a larger audience now.
Not a fan of American sports, but I'll give Star Wars: Squadrons a chance once it hits the service.
@themightyant
FIFA 21 is only making big money due to Ultimate Team.
The base game has been heavily reduced to about £20-30 for some time now.
@blinx01 It's not just Ultimate Team though. FIFA 21 was STILL #4 in the UK chart last week and #2 the week before. I can't find Europe data, but if it's anything like prior years it will be very similar. Even if reduced to £20-30 that's still bringing in plenty from sales alone.
More surprisingly to me was Madden 21 and NBA2K21were also both still in the US Top 10. Honestly surprised they are including these on Game Pass as that is the case. Though as you suggested Ultimate Team, and micro-tractions spending in general, will no doubt go through the roof.
@themightyant sorry but this has been their release schedule for madden since ea started their ea pass, its normally like 1 month after season ends…you’ll see nhl 21 in April…its their sports release schedule…nothing has changed with gamepass madden still came out a month after Super Bowl…NHL will be in April fifa will be in July most likely has 0 to do with sales dropping off… as when fifa comes out it will still be a top seller,
@Blessed_Koz To be clear I didn't say their strategy had changed.
I said they would know exactly when the sales would (typically) tail off and bring them to EA Play then. It's no surprise that these all join AFTER the season has ended, usually sales will be diminishing post season (even if still pretty high be other games standards).
This year of course is likely an exception, with lockdowns everyone is at home and game spending is up massively so it likely doesn't fit the normal cycle.
