Atomic Heart feels like it's been in development since the dawn of time, but every time we see new footage we're suckered back in to its world. What we have today is a new look at the in-game photo mode, which is so insanely detailed it's hard to believe.

Using the real time engine, developer Mundfish has given fans a look at how the photo mode works, and the results are stunning. The facial animations, environments, and effects all look fantastic - we can't wait to see more of it in action. It's worth noting that this could all change before the game launches, but we certainly hope not.

For those who don't know, Atomic Heart is set in an alternate universe during the Soviet Union and has players exploring a facility. Though all is not it seems, as disturbing creatures and powerful weapons are used to push your way through. It looks like a love child of Bioshock, Prey and Fallout, and every piece of gameplay has us yearning for more. We don't have word on a release date yet, but it's set to arrive on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Fingers crossed we hear something more concrete soon.
