Original story: We're really excited for the launch of MLB The Show 21 on Xbox for the first time ever this April, but if you want to try the game early, you can sign up for a closed beta (or "technical test") now on the MLB The Show website.

The test is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S players, lasting from February 23rd until March 1st, but limited space is available on Xbox, so you'll need to sign up as early as possible.

In addition to the test, the team has also shared a very brief look at the three different gameplay styles in MLB The Show 21, which makes up casual, simulation and competitive depending on how you like to play.

"Get your hands on a work-in-progress version of MLB The Show 21 and play online to help stress the servers, try out online match-making with cross-platform play, and cross-generational play. The Technical Test will start on February 23rd at 10 a.m. PT and end on March 1st at 10 a.m. PT. The information we receive during the Technical Test will help us optimize the game for our launch day in April."
