I guess it's time to finally dive into Battlefield V, then
@gollumb82 and it’s fantastic but not quite as good as bf1
@sandman89
Is this because of gameplay or historical inaccuracy?
@gollumb82 Honestly I would say both, and I wouldn't call it fantastic either. I loved Battlefield 4 and even enjoyed Hardline but Battlefield V was just pretty bad. I got it for free as a pack-in with my Xbox One X, so at least I didn't have to pay for it.
@gollumb82 it is fantastic. But bf1 is more realistic which I prefer and personally I thought the maps were better in bf1. But I still play both because they are super fun
@JayJ
I love Battlefield 4 and had a great time playing through the campaign. I even played a bit of multiplayer and had fun. Right now I'm debating whether to buy the BF4 Premium Edition or BF5 Premium Edition 🤔 Both are discounted heavily right now.
@gollumb82 If you have to go with one or the other I would definitely get BF4, it's easily the better game and it's probably more active these days as well. I mean I am sure there's plenty of people playing BFV but BF4 is a real favorite among Battlefield fans, it's the one to play.
@JayJ
Thanks man! I'm going to give BF5 multiplayer a go and if I like it I'm actually going to get both. Frankly speaking, I miss tactical shooters on consoles. Insurgency Sandstorm will probably never launch on XSX and I'm left wondering if Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is any good.
@gollumb82 Yeah I am also a big fan of tactical shooters, always been my preferred style of FPS. I got Operation Flashpoint and it's alright, you can have some fun with it if you're looking to play that style of war campaign but it wasn't anything special.
@JayJ
Seems we like similar games. I played a bit of BF5 multiplayer yesterday and I liked it. It's still mayhem and every man for himself- I wanted to be a gunner in one guy's tank and he told me to get out 🤣 I like the idea of squads. It seems designed to funnel players into looking out for each other and be tactical, but doesn't work most of the time. I imagine it would be a blast on a private server with a group of friends.
@gollumb82 Yeah I have always been a fan of being paired up in squads. Since I am usually just playing these games by myself it's nice to get in a little group with some people in games like these. Makes it so you can just quickly jump in with squadmates and work with them, a valuable thing when you are playing games with huge maps. In games with smaller maps and less players it isn't that big of a deal, but with games like Battlefield you don't want to be running all over the map separated from everyone trying to get into the action.
