Black Ops Cold War Zombies Is Getting A Free Access Week

Update: Microsoft has now confirmed this Free Access Week for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies, which will allow you to sample the Die Maschine and Cranked game modes during the trial period.

"Get ready to gear up for a full week of zombie-slaying action when Treyarch’s legendary Zombies mode will be free to access for Xbox Live Gold members to play during the Zombies Free Access Week."

Original story: Been waiting to try out the new Call of Duty? There's reportedly another free access period on the way, and this time you'll be able to check out the game's Zombies mode for free from January 14th to January 21st.

We say reportedly, because so far this hasn't been announced by Activision, but rather has appeared on a Microsoft Store listing, encouraging players to "experience the next generation of Zombies with Black Ops Cold War Zombies Free Access" (thanks HotUKDeals).

Those are all the details we have for now, but we'll drop you an update when Activision inevitably goes into more detail about the Free Access Week over the coming days. Here's a bit of blurb about the mode itself:

"Black Ops Cold War Zombies is set to take veterans and newcomers alike on a bold and terrifying journey that expands on an iconic part of the Call of Duty® franchise.
