There have been a lot of console reveals over the years, but The Rock and Bill Gates teaming up to introduce the original Xbox back on January 6th, 2001 has to go down as one of the most famous examples.
Taking place exactly twenty years ago today, the conference was part of CES 2001, and saw Dwayne Johnson and Bill Gates bouncing off each other in a humorous exchange about the WWE, Microsoft and, of course, the Xbox itself.
The original Xbox went on to be released in November of 2001, and The Rock has since continued to partner with Xbox on various occasions, most recently for the Gamers Outreach charity back in November.

The rock recognizes greatness when he sees it..
The thing I can most remember about it was the size of it, as it was positively enormous! I'm sure it's larger still, but when I unpacked my PS5 behemoth I thought, well, at least it's not as big as the original xbox!
The first time I played Mechassault on Live, I turned to my girlfriend (now wife) and was like, There are people talking! These are real people!
I had done similar things on PC at the time, but never console. Console was always just a 1 or 2 person experience. Suddenly these people were coming through on that one sided headset. Most people masked their voices as Live did back then.
Everything always had this Wild West feel to it. Whether Microsoft or Sony you never knew what was coming next. We were all living it together for the first time.
Today people boot up the latest console and know multiplayer just works. You don't even really think about it.
I never owned one during it's lifespan cause at the time I owned a GameCube and PS2. My friend did though and the first thing In though of when I saw it was how much bigger it was compared to the PS2 and GameCube. Spent many hours playing Halo on it though.
