We weren't expecting this! Indie game Spiritfarer, which is described as a "cosy management game about dying," has just shadow dropped on a range of platforms including Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass.

In the game, you'll play as Stella - ferrymaster to the deceased - as you befriend spirits and release them into the afterlife. You'll be able to farm, mine, fish, harvest, cook and craft your way across mystical seas, and the game also includes two-player cooperative play - the other play takes control of a cat called Daffodil!

Spiritfarer is now available with Xbox Game Pass on console and PC, or you can purchase it from the Microsoft Store.
