Publisher Kalypso Media and developers Yippee! Entertainment and Torus Games have announced that the Commandos 2 and Praetorians HD remasters will launch on Xbox One on September 18th (thanks Gematsu).
If you've never heard of them, both games are real-time tactics titles that originally released back in the early 2000s, but these remastered editions made their debuts on PC earlier this year.
You'll be able to purchase the two games separately on the Microsoft Store, while a physical version will be available in the form of a Double Pack featuring both titles.
Commandos 2 HD Remaster:
Relive the real-time tactics masterpiece that defined the genre like no other: Originally developed by the legendary Pyro Studios, Commandos 2 - HD Remaster is a true homage to one of gaming’s most celebrated masterpieces. Featured in full HD with reworked controls, UI and tutorial. Utilize the combined expertise of your commandos to complete a series of notoriously demanding missions.
Praetorians HD Remaster:
Relive the celebrated real-time strategy classic Praetorians, re-imagined in high definition. Praetorians is set amidst the political machinations of an emerging Roman Empire. Prove your worth on the battlefields of Egypt, the combat theaters of Gaul and finally the heart of the Empire itself in Italy, in the crusade to become Emperor. To emerge victorious, you’ll need to learn to combine your units and exploit the weaknesses of your enemies.

I played Praetorians on the PC eons ago. Was a very good strategy game. Will be interesting to see how these translate to console but a lot of the old PC games actually play really well on Xbox these days. Never played Commandos 2 but it seems a fun package overall.
I love strategy games, so I’ll be checking these out eventually.
I wonder if they'll have mouse and keyboard support
