Later today (UK time), we'll finally get to see everything Microsoft's Xbox Series X Games Showcase has to offer. This will include our very first look at the campaign gameplay in Halo Infinite.
To ensure fans know what's coming, GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg has issued a friendly reminder over on Twitter about what exactly to expect from the hour-long show. It follows on from his previous tweet about how there would be "no business, devices or similar news" - just games.
As he notes, there'll also be a pre-show taking place before the main event. It's being hosted by The Game Awards creator, Geoff Keighley, and promises to include "additional world premieres" and exciting reveals from partners.
Lead Esports producer and Halo developer at 343 Industries, Tahir 'Tashi' Hasandjekic, also shared the following message (via Twitter), stating how the Xbox Games Showcase is a day for Halo fans:
Halo community - tomorrow is YOUR day and we are so excited for you. Let's spread the Halo love far and wide, and bring the rest of the gaming world along for the ride with us all. #HaloInfinite

I know Halo is a hot topic for the presentation, but I really hope it's not 50 minutes of Halo and 10 minutes of everything else.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it... but does he mean partner stuff is only going to be on the pre-show, and the show itself will be one hour of first party+second party game content?

I really hope this is a defining show for Xbox. It's kind of put up or shut up time. Phil has done so many positive things for the brand and the services at Xbox. Now he just has to show that the biggest issue this generation has been fixed. Bring on the games.
Excited for this, I am hoping to see a lot of first party games, Halo will he cool, but other franchises and even new franchises will be really good viewing.
I’m glad they clarified again that it’s just about the games. Let’s leave the price and the Series S aside for today.
I hope today does not disappoint, under all this hype I might had bought 3 years worth of Xbox live gold and upgraded it all to Game Pass Ultimate for a dollar 😅
