We detailed upcoming Xbox Series X title Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 earlier today, noting that it will feature cross-generation character saves via Smart Delivery. And according to GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg, we can expect more of this on Xbox Series X.
Greenberg responded to someone earlier this week on Twitter asking whether progress will "move to the new console through Smart Delivery", indicating that it will. No further details were mentioned, but we're assuming from his response that all games (and not just select titles) will take advantage of the feature.
Either way, it's great to hear. We already know that Smart Delivery compatible games will allow Xbox One owners to upgrade to an Xbox Series X version at no extra cost, and it'll prove all the more enticing knowing that our progress carries with it as well. Now we just need more specifics. Tell us more, Microsoft!
What are your thoughts on this feature? Do you think all titles will support it? Let us know in the comments.

"No further details were mentioned, so we're not sure whether all games or just select titles will take advantage of the feature."
He was very clear in this regard; yes on all games that support Smart Delivery, right?
Great! Go, go Microsoft! To the win!
I’m really hoping Square-Enix takes advantage of this.
Microsoft are just absolutely smashing it out the park with positive Series X news like this. It’s seems to be one after another constantly lately. Sony are going to have to have a real game changer on their hands with the PS5 to counteract against all this positivity the Series X has been getting of late.
I'm just interested to see how the first Red Dead Redemption will look on the Series X. Hell, I want to see both of them. Maybe even Red Dead Revolver for good measure, assuming that becomes available on Series X BC.
Edit: on that last bit, it sounds unlikely that any new games will be added via BC. Maybe things will change, but Red Dead Revolver wasn't as revered as the latter 2 Red Dead games. Oh well.
This is pretty cool, not gonna lie.
@gingataisen You're right! I've changed the wording a bit.
This is very cool!
@FraserG
That reads a lot better, Fraser. Good job!
