Halo Infinite

As 343 Industries puts it, people have already been talking about it "lightly" before, so it's decided to make it official: Halo Infinite will be featured at the Xbox 20/20 event this July.

"We're extremely excited to confirm that Halo Infinite will be one of many first-party titles included in the Xbox 20/20 event in July. Get ready."

This announcement was made over on the Halo Waypoint website, in the developer's latest update.

It follows on from last week's comments by GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg, when he lightly confirmed the news at the beginning of the recent Inside Xbox show. Here's a recap:

"That's right, it's time to get hyped! Halo is coming (Halo Infinite), you've been waiting, the world's most anticipated game - July, mark your calendars. Xbox Game Studios, we've got teams around the world that are working on big surprises, big reveals for you. I could not be more excited."

While Halo Infinite has now well and truly been confirmed for the upcoming July showcase, there's been little mention so far of what will be shown - will 343 Industries be unveiling a full-on gameplay demo? Only time will tell.

There's also no specific date for this event just yet, but the game itself is due out before the end of this year on Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
