@ralphdibny I'm pretty sure that game was made by highschool kids, so pretty good if you consider that. The game was interesting and a very short experience.

Ah fair enough! Yeah just looked it up and it was made by a 17 year old girl which kind of makes sense. I think it was the lines of reinforcing text at the end that kind of led me to the naivety comment. It sounds like it was from personal experience which again would make sense as she probably dealt with these issues in a different time to the one I grew up and dealt with my own issues in. Also I guess she wouldn't have the added experience of living an adult life with it. But yeah, I wasn't really bashing the game, I just thought it had a good concept but it only really scratches the surface of what it's trying to convey. A follow up game might be interesting if she decides to pursue it as it would show what she might have learned and experienced since she made the first game.

I've done quite well with the gamerscore so far. I've got over 8000 and I've done the easy GS in Roblox and rec room. I've also played NHL 94 Rewind, 4 walking dead games, fractured mind and little acre. Probably going to do the garden between and some/all of what remains of Edith Finch (which I've played before) to top it up

@ralphdibny Gardens between is great actually, i was very surprised by it. I still have to play Edith Finch but i heard it's a good one as well.

I finished the gardens between and then I used the video for what remains of Edith Finch to get up to the 800GS I needed to max out the 10000GS deal.

I've saved 3 games with Gold and 2 or 3 free game downloads for next January in case they put a similar offer on then. I've still got a few game pass games and barring the ones I was planning to play anyway, I'll probably save them for a similar deal or play them if they get added to a "leaving soon" list.

Oh yeah and through this offer, I actually ended up enjoying the walking dead games so much I decided to buy the final season off eBay for a tenner! Hopefully that comes next week and I can play through it then!

Just reached the next milestone with my gamerscore, which is 90 000 G! I'm so close to reaching 100 000 so I'm definitely going to put in more effort into reaching it soon.

It's crazy to me though that I have 90k now. I remember when I had 20k for the longest time simply because I wasn't playing that many 360 games. I mostly played the same games over and over like GTA IV, Borderlands or Red Dead Redemption, so I never accumulated that much in gamerscore. But in the past half decade, I've started playing more Xbox games instead of the same ones and this has definitely helped me out with increasing my gamerscore. Not to mention that achievements are much easier to get a lot of nowadays, especially when all games now have at least 1000 G. I remember when Xbox Live Arcade titles still had 200 G and towards the end of the 360 era they could have up to 400 G. It's crazy how much things have changed since then.

@LtSarge they do need an achievement revamp if some sort. I believe there was an article a few months ago about a fan made concept that was really good. But achievements/ trophy's have been monitized now where you can buy a $5-$10 game to get 1,000 GS or Platinum in an hour or less.

I just keep my eye on it to see how many games I've played. I might sometimes jump back in after beating a game to finish up a few achievements I'm close on but otherwise i don't chase them... unless it's 10K punch card season...i chase them then.

Almost at 32K now in under a year. Most gaming I've done in a long long time. go go gamepass.

@Krzzystuff Honestly, I don't think there's a need to revamp the achievement system. I prefer achievements over trophies simply because every achievement's score contributes to a total amount. That's not the case with trophies, as the only noteworthy ones are Platinum trophies. I don't like that because I don't want to get all trophies in case there are some annoying ones like reach rank 50 in multiplayer or play with three other people in local multiplayer. I just want to get the majority and then move on to the next game, which is more rewarding to do on Xbox compared to PlayStation. That's why I don't think it's necessary to revamp the achievement system, it's already really good.

Although it could definitely be improved by adding an achievement corresponding to the Platinum trophy. As long as you can keep earning achievements that add to a total score, then I'm fine with whatever change they make.

Just finished Genesis Noir and this is another easy 1000 G as long as you do all the levels before doing the final one.

It's taken me 11 years since I first started playing on Xbox but I've finally crossed a huge milestone today in getting over 100,000 gamerscore! Been really trying hard these past few weeks to get from 99k to 100k and I saw an article on Pure Xbox that The Gardens Between had a decent achievement list so I booted it up and managed to get to 100k thanks to that game.

@Balta666 Thanks! 10k in under a year is pretty good all things considered. You should be able to get to 100k much faster than me though since it's much easier to get gamerscore nowadays compared to a decade ago when most achievements were difficult to get and Game Pass didn't exist. Out of curiosity, are you actively hunting for achievements or are you just casually collecting?

@Krzzystuff Gaming is my hobby.

Thanks man! I honestly don't think I want to have another goal since it took me long enough as it is to get to 100k. From here on out I'll just be casually getting achievements and if I reach another milestone, than that's awesome. But yeah, it's such a surreal feeling to have 100k. I don't think I'll be able to replicate this feeling with another milestone. Maybe one million, but that's out of the question, lol.

@LtSarge you can do it!!!

With gamepass and all the Indies on there it builds up quickly. I'm at like 36K in a year. I enjoyed shorter games as my gaming time is limited. It's not as hard as it used to be. I'm not chasing GS, it just happens with me playing the Indies.

@LtSarge not really. 95% of it are just by playing naturally but in the end I tend to check if I have some closer to completion. So far I have only 100% psychonauts 2 and got really close on 12 minutes. Most of the times I finish around 40-60% achievements (and then there are games like Scarlett Nexus that you need to finish the game with both characters... Or ME andromeda that even after 60h I only had like 25% as many were tied to multiplayer which I simply do not care)

LtSarge

@Krzzystuff The problem is that I play on numerous systems, not just Xbox. If I'd only played on Xbox and never gotten into PlayStation, I probably would've had 200k by now. So at this point I'm earning achievements very slowly and it's not really worth it to put up a goal. But yeah, at least with Game Pass, achievement hunting has become much easier so there's always that.

@Balta666 Ah okay, so you're basically like me. I don't really go out of my way to collect achievements but sometimes when I want to reach a certain milestone or if a game is fairly short, I'll do it. Which is good because I don't want achievement hunting to become a chore. I want it to be fun, you know?
