Hey guys, it's KratosMD. I'm sorry that I left but I felt like I needed some time off and just start fresh with a new account. I'm not planning on going back to PushSquare since that would defeat the purpose of starting over, but over the past couple of weeks I've grown more attached to this site and just to the Xbox brand in general. I'm really loving Game Pass and seeing all this news about Xbox has made me very invested in it, which I haven't been about any brand for a long time, much less Xbox. That's why I decided to start posting here again. I probably won't be as active as I used to be, but I want to at least participate in some of the discussions here since there's so much to look forward to when it comes to Xbox.

Hey folks. I just signed up for games pass ultimate in preparation for the new consols and I'm playing on PC at the moment. I got myself a controller and i was wondering if i should stick with the official Xbox branded battery pack or if there is a decent third party one i can get for a better price?

Also I've jumped right into Hellblade, streets of rage 4 for some Genesis nostolgia and Forza Horizon 4. Loving that games pass just let's me just download what i want and I can run with it. Have grounded ready to go along with both Ori's. What other games are a must try for someone new to the Xbox ecosystem? I have Halo, Gears and Witcher 3 on my radar after I beat some games.

Hi all! Fairly fresh on a One X after being absent from Xbox since about 2014, massively enjoying the console. More than I ever thought I would actually! Back compat and Game Pass are life altering!

i've been playing for ... pfuu I won't count.
I still have my xbox (big black classic xbox), my 360 and now a serie X.
I love the controllers of Microsoft (it's one of many reason why I like Xbox...).
I used to play coop FPS but as I'm getting old, i don't like to be insulated by young brats of 11...
Nowadays, i like to play RPGs, adventure games or shmups.
Even if it's getting better and better, PS5 has more shmups than Xbox... That's too bad, because those games are quick to play and won't "steal" your time for hours.... Fast pleasure if you ask me....

@johndoe89 If you are wanting Cave style shooters there are only a few but if you like R-type style shooters there are plenty. Best way to find a lot of them is to select one in the store then scroll down the page to where it gives you a list of similar games, then check there. The new Raiden 4 landed a couple of weeks back too.

@GarbonZoni Yep ! There is a small "movement" for shmups on the xbox store and it's a good thing.
I like Battle Garegga, Layer Section & Galactic Attack S-Tribute very much.
It reminds me of my old Saturn, back in the days.....
The trick is this : always play small sessions with shmups or you will hate this kind of games, very quickly.

@johndoe89 Still no news on Akai Katana Shin coming to the west. Will be all over it when it finally drops.
Mame is good for the shmups as is Teknoparrot.

I used to play Retroarch on my xbox serie X... But Microsoft doesn't like that anymore....

Yes, it's still working in dev mods ! I was using the retail method... worked flawlessly !
I hope we will get - one day - a retail official version of retroarch on xbox serie S and X ...

Hi everyone, just joined when Starfield launched which is underwhelming imo compared to Everspace 2. Which leads to this question and hope it's in the correct forum. I have an Xbone and currently play Everspace2, I'm trying to figure out why there is graphic clarity issues, like lagging where graphics need to catch up when moving around. Is it the server, the Xbone or my internet not being sufficient speed?
Atm, it's unplayable.

@rushbudgie everspace 2 is a current gen game only. On Xbox One you are playing the Cloud version through gamepass. It may be that your internet connection is not good enough for it or that you are not used to play with the lag from the service (it may also well be that the servers are very far from your place which it wouldn't help)

@Balta666 Even on reddit the game is under par for Xbox series X with Rockfish acknowledging. Soon after I quit playing I resumed hoping for better game experience. It was actually okay. It's probably my internet being as it is, I'll soldier on because it's such a good game. Thanks for replying.
