I was until this past November! I find it struggles a little with newer games now (in terms of frame rate specifically), but otherwise it's still a fantastic console.
I am but haven't used it much as of late. It's still chugging along alright though. The Kinect stopped working years ago (not that I had much use for it anymore) and the power brick sounds pretty rough sometimes. It also has trouble reading discs. I got a PS5 so I boot it up for Forza once in a while but I didn't realize how sluggish it felt until I got the PS5.
I picked up a launch model for £100, with Kinect and controller, about two weeks before the Series X|S launch. First time I've had an Xbox since the original. I was bracing myself for it to be a bit of a rough time, and mainly wanted to use it as a cheap in-roads for MCC/Game Pass, but I'm consistently blown back by how well most games still perform and look! Become a fair bit obsessive over snapping up all the 360 back-compat titles I missed over the last 15 years too, haha.
Yeah, I have mine hooked up to the living room TV and mainly use it for Ori, NSLT or Minecraft. I have my XSX over at my desk for Cyberpunk and Warzone. And the occasional Minecraft LAN… Sure, it’s slow as … but it’s still a good piece of equipment. A bit loud, but so are the kids. I’ve been meaning to lend it out to a neighbor, perhaps borrow his PS4, but I dread the reaction from my kids… Hoping for a surprise drop of BoTW2, that would open up for a swap…
