LOL Thanks! I think all interviews should be done on the moon.
Quick question about these Fun Labs video files for those who have edited theirs. I was able to open the .wmv file into my video editing programs when I did the moon video. However, when I went to edit the birthday video (created more recently) the files are acting alomost like they have DRM protection or something and I can't edit them. Anyone else have this issue?
I could never edit them as-is. I transcoded them with Handbrake and worked with the h.264 thereafter. It's not elegant but I don't know of a better solution. Right now, the video created on the 360 is compressed for portability and then I have to transcode that, resulting in additional artifacts, and then after my edits, there's more compression added to form the final product. Not a great situation.
The best would be if Microsoft had a full-screen player inside Avatar Kinect so that I could video capture with my Hauppauge HD-PVR (and therefore minimize the number of compressions the video is going through before it gets to my hands).
