Well I finally got around to playing this game and all I have to say is wow what a game.
I have not been sucked into the Assassin's Creed series before I mean I played the first one and the second one but for some reason those games just didn't impress me much. Now I dont know if it's the time period they use (a have to admit the Revolutionary War has always fascinated me) but I just had to give this series another try.
Well I picked it up from Amazon for a good price on the Wii U and I as I said I am seriously loving it. I played a fair bit of the story but its the side options that got me. The hunting has me so hooked right now. I have to say if any of you guys are on the fence with this one at least rent it or borrow it from some one.
I know I am late to the party and I am sure that others have played it probably already beat it now but I was wondering what did you think of it? Also about how many hours is the actual story line?

I really enjoyed AC II and the two other games that made up the 'Ezio trilogy.' When I first started playing III I liked it but for some reason the game just fizzled out for me about halfway through and I actually never got too much further than that. It's certainly not a bad game but I just think it was a combo of being a little burnt out on the franchise after 4 straight years of entries and I didn't think Connor and the supporting cast were as compelling as Ezio and the other characters and setting from those games.
This was my most anticipated game of 2012 last year and it ended up being the most disappointing for me. I absolutely loved the setting and environments but ultimately, I felt like the mechanical controls this time around just didn't blend as well as the previous entries. I also wasn't a fan of the tedious pacing of the game during the beginning sequences and Connor just wasn't as interesting of a character coming after the charismatic Ezio. I haven't finished it yet and I've been meaning to get back to it but I just haven't had the urge to.

Wow I am like the complete opposite lol. I feel that the combat controls are alot smoother this time around and for me I am enjoying Connor alot more but hey different strokes for different folks I guess. I will agree that the pacing is horrible at the beginning but other than that I am having a blast with this game.
I cant wait for Black Flag.

Yeah, if there's one thing I have to give AC 3 over the others it's that the combat is better and more varied. I give Ubisoft a lot of credit for adding the naval battles, it changed things up quite a bit. I'm not super hyped for Black Flag but I'll probably check it out since I'm sure sea battles will play an even bigger role this time and that was my favorite part of 3.
Getting pretty close to the end here at least I think I am lol. Still enjoying this game but my only gripe about is the modern day sequences. Seriously I dont find these parts as fascinating or fun as Connor's parts. For one thing I dont have a clue as to whats going on. These parts just feel to me like filler to make the game longer or something.

Well I finally finished this game a few weeks ago (yeah I am know I am slow but the last couple of weeks have been nuts for me lol) and I have to say I really enjoyed this game. I honestly can't compare this game to the first two games cause I really didnt get into them like I did this one. I might give the second one a try when its free for gold members, but honestly I think the time period is what won me over for this game.
Anyway it was a great game and I really enjoyed. Definitely can't wait to play Black Flag on my new PS4 come fall.
