Topic: The Xbox Game Pass thread

With Xbox Game Pass available on more than just the Xbox Console and now on Samsung 2022 TV's with potentially more options coming soon, there will be some Gamers who can only play those games available via Streaming. As this is a 'curated' list, it makes sense to have a dedicated thread for ALL things Game Pass - Games, Streaming, perks, platforms etc...

There is a game pass thread already but it is in the Xbox One forum instead of the Series X|S forum. Perhaps @FraserG might want to update the forum on that one if possible, instead of us having a duplicate thread...

@ralphdibny I agree, the original thread that @FraserG started should be moved to Series X/S even though Game Pass will be available everywhere soon.

@FraserG Maybe it needs its own 'thread' separate from under a Console heading as Game Pass is its own 'Platform' now, basically available EVERYWHERE (except Playstation/Switch) and therefore should have its own category. I was surprised there wasn't a category for it and checked under the 'current' hardware thread as XB1 has been 'discontinued' (in terms of manufacturing at least).

Its possible that people will be visiting this site for Game Pass specific news/updates etc and may not even have an Xbox console or PC and these could increase with MS's new 'Dongle' too (when that releases) and so it would make more sense to have a dedicated Game Pass thread rather than move/bury it under a platform heading...

@BAMozzy Yep, that makes a lot of sense and I'll have a chat with the powers that be about it over the next few days. Just bare with us in the midst of all the Xbox Games Showcase chaos

@FraserG No problem at all - I just saw this video with Destin playing via a Samsung TV app and wanted to share it. As I couldn't see a thread under the current hardware heading, I created this for now. In the future though, it does make sense to have a dedicated Game Pass thread because there will be Gamers who won't be accessing Game Pass through a Console. A dedicated thread also means they have a thread to ask Game Pass related questions that are not applicable to ask under the Console threads...
