If I understand this correctly it's like this....

Nintendo Switch Version

  • Only available to those who have Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion pass to be able to play Goldeneye
  • The N64 version with zero enhancements
  • Has online 4 player multiplayer only because the Nintendo online service tricks the rom into thinking the online player is a local controller

Xbox Version

  • Available through Gamepass and for free with Rare Replay Digital
  • The N64 version with enhancements, 4K, 60FPS, Achievements, updated control options
  • No online 4 player multiplayer but has 60 FPS and in 4k

Am I understanding this correctly? So the Switch version fps is gonna drop down to single digits when in 4 player multiplayer?

Basically what you wrote, with the Xbox version defined as "remaster" on the James Bond and Xbox sites. I'm excited to play the campaign again and will try to have a friend play multiplayer with me. Digital Foundry will compare these two at launch and I bet that the frame rate and definition difference is going to be huge. What about input lag and controls? That's important, too.
