To those that play older games, what retro game(s) is your favorite? The game can be on any console, whether Xbox or on another platform! If you want mine, it’d have to be Conker’s Bad Fur Day. I only experienced the game for the first time months ago, but I still loved it despite not being a fan of “adult” humor. The game really shows the creativity late 90’s-early 00s Rare had, which definitely shows through in the story and gameplay choices, not to mention the film parodies are goofy (in a good way) and are used in relation to the theme of the level they are used in, and sometimes to even progress the story! However, I think some ideas the game had were hampered by the clunky controls and awful camera. The idea of the gameplay shifting depending on the situation (e.g. platforming to shooting) is a unique concept but was badly executed by the outdated controls, which made some parts of the game difficult to complete. There was a racing minigame that gets thrown in midway in the game and I absolutely LOATHE it, and it just feels it was added in there randomly for filler instead of something that is actually fun or easy. To add on, I think the shooting segments were the worst parts of the game for the lack of a reticle (making it difficult to aim, but the last two levels add one) and the slower controls utilized. Because the game is a product of its time, some jokes have aged either well or like expired milk in the fridge. Despite the flaws and age the game sometimes shows, I still enjoy it and commend the developers for trying to make the game stand out from the crowd. I really like booting up Rare Replay on my Xbox to play this title only…. I just love it a lot and I’ll be forever sad that a sequel has not and will not happen. Anyway, I’m curious to know which game(s) is your favorite! EDIT: I’ll add another game to my answer; I absolutely love the N64 Banjo-Kazooie games, especially the first game, which was actually one of the few video games I got 100% on. I played it for the first time two years ago on the Switch and I just love the game’s cast of characters and the charm the game gives off. Out of all the genres in Rare’s retro game catalogue, their platformers are my absolute favorite.

My favorite is Sonic Adventure 2. I completed it on Dreamcast, PC, Wii and Xbox 360.
WarCraft III and HoMM III is special for me too.

I gotta go back a bit for this one...

If I COULD play retro games(aka if I had them), I'd play Pitfall!, Ms. Pac-Man, Elevator Action, Ghosts n' Goblins, etc.

@Isolte MAME is the best. I loved using it to try out Sega ST-V arcade games. I still want to play Virtua Fighter Remix but it didn't work last time.

I’ve been replaying a lot of Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic lately. They just hold up so well, and playing them brings back great memories. Sometimes I like to mix it up and play free online games that feel retro too—lots of fun without needing to dig out any old hardware.
