You ever play a video game and for some reason there’s a moment in the game that’s not playable that just stuck with you as it was just too awesome to ever forget!?

I have a memory of playing Quake 4 on the Xbox 360 and the intro where its SPACE and you see a space marine and you’re like WOW space is so awesome and as the space marine turns around you then are shown the rest of his face is actually blown off and he’s floating in space but his guts are also doing the same

Still remember that cutscene as one of the coolest things in video games for me

The bit in Mass Effect 3 where the Normandy emerges from the Mass relay to lead the counterattack on Earth - followed a fraction of a second later by (depending on how well you’ve done your job of gaining allies) just about every flipping spaceship in the known universe…

@Old_Man_Harper my friend; your response landed in the section of a fellow N7. That series is phenomenal: and that memory you have is out of this world! That series of games has so many moments like that! When deciding how to manage the fleet when dealing with the last battle with Saren in the first; your moment mentioned tops that!

Damn, that's a tough one, because all the greatest moments for me were in the gameplay or level; and whenever I want to watch a cool moment again from a game, it's the gameplay, not a cutscene.

Edit: Actually, I remember one now. In Batman Arkham Origins, amid a tense argument between Batman & Alfred, Batman told Alfred something along the lines of, “Im the reason that criminals breathe easier when the sun rises.” That’s one of toughest statements I’ve ever heard.

@nomither6 ahhh so your moment was pure dialogue and the impact it had on your gameplay?! You carried that the whole game knowing you as Batman were it; final justice. That was deep dude! Thank you for sharing

I can't really think of that many to be honest, but there's one game stands out for me, and that is Bioshock. I loved the art deco style and atmosphere and maybe the first time you see the little girl with Big Daddy.

@BanthaPooDoo ohhhh my friend well let me tell you; the moment you picked is iconic! That game has so many amazing moments like that but yes you are spot on that moment you see them for the first time as he shows up to save her and then they move on through you unable to do anything but watch from one side of a broken glass was so atmospheric. Hey idk if you like to read novels but I would check out a book called RAPTURE it’s a prequel to bioshock 1 and from what you told me I think you really dig it.
