Xbox Release Dates In 2026: A List Of New Games Coming Out This Year

Nothing for me till March with Crimson Desert and even that is a maybe. Still not convinced GTA 6 is locked in so its hard for me to be excited about it and anything with TBD I just ignore for now.

Looking at the list right now I hope it will fill out with a few surprises as there isn't anything I am super excited for. Put it this way I am more excited for the dlc for Stalker 2 & The Outer Worlds 2 than anything else at the moment.

Some cool looking games there. I loved Pragmata from my time spent with the demo, while the other big one for me in the first half of the year is 007: First Light.

Although, I still have unfinished business with 2025. I'm midway through Doom: The Dark Ages and Pokémon Legends Z-A. There are also a few things from last year I'm yet to get to, the big one being Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

@Weebleman I wasn't going to look up that game because I dreaded what I might find. Curiosity eventually got the better of me though. I'm actually none the wiser as to exactly what the feck is going on 🤣

Definitely FH6, been waiting 5 long years for it to come out... Then of course GTA6, even though at this point i kinda lost some of the excitement... And RE Requiem where apparently some of the heroes will die. PS:Almost forgot Fable, they better not let us down! ✌️

Should hopefully be getting the Developer Direct date announcement soon so we can get some solid dates on Xbox games.

After an impressive 2025 packed with major releases and numerous day‑one Game Pass titles—despite the backlash over the Game Pass price hike—Xbox still finished the year as the top video game publisher in both revenue and player engagement. The lineup included games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Indiana Jones, Doom: Dark Ages, Gears of War Reloaded, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Ninja Gaiden 4, South of Midnight, and many others across first‑party and day‑one launches.

Looking ahead, 2026—Xbox’s 25th anniversary—already appears set to be another huge year, even if some titles may slip, with Fable, Gears E‑Day, Forza Horizon 6, Halo 1 Remake, and more expected.

We’re also likely to get either a release date or a more detailed unveiling of the next Xbox. In a nod to the original console, which was heavily based on Windows, the new system is expected to run a true Windows environment with an open ecosystem, supporting not just the Xbox Store but also Steam, Epic, and others, a native backwards compatibility, support on any devices (pc, xbox console, handled, cloud, tv, ..., )etc...

Tales of Berseria should also be good.
