10 New Xbox Indie Games That Should Be On Your Radar In May 2026

May has officially arrived, and looking at the array of indie games heading to Xbox over the next few weeks, it's once again proving extremely difficult to try and narrow down this selection to just 10 games!

For example, the following list misses out the likes of Coffee Talk Tokyo, Outbound and Beastro that all should be fantastic in their own right, but we also wanted to give shoutouts to some lesser-known indies such as Motorslice, Wax Heads, Yerba Buena and Necrophosis: Full Consciousness. And of course, we had to at least include a few Xbox Game Pass titles in here, with highlights including Mixtape and Echo Generation 2.

As always though, we highly encourage you to check out the full list of weekly releases on Xbox to avoid missing any hidden gems — we just literally shared all the games coming to Xbox from May 4-8 in our Saturday roundup:

Motorslice (May 5)

Mixtape (May 7) (Xbox Game Pass)

WILL: Follow The Light (May 7)

Call of the Elder Gods (May 12) (Xbox Game Pass)

Journey to the far corners of the Earth and unearth ancient horrors in this Lovecraftian narrative puzzle adventure and sequel to 2020’s critically acclaimed Call of the Sea.

Luna Abyss (May 21) (Xbox Game Pass)

Necrophosis: Full Consciousness (May 28)
