E3 2015: Prismatica Channels Rubik's Ideas on Xbox One

Posted by Ken Barnes

And a bit of Hexic...kind of

Loomus Games new [email protected] title Prismatica has been revealed in trailer form and for puzzle fans, it looks like a bit of a doozy.

The game sees you rotating large hexagons filled with smaller variously-coloured hexagons, in order to try to get all of the larger hexagons to be of the same colour. Think of a Rubik's Cube, but if it was hexagonal. And...erm...flat.

We're making a hash of explaining it, we're sure, but with a clean look and a soundtrack from award-winning Icelandic composer Svarar Knutur, this could be one to while away more than a few hours on.

Prismatica doesn't have a release date as yet, but when all the pieces click into place, we'll let you know.

I've just googled 'doozy' and I'm still unsure whether you think this is going to be really good or really bad!

From a purely graphical viewpoint it looks pretty poor in comparison to the 10 year old Hexic that I'm now able to play on my Xbox One
