All of the above. Quick resume is on par with having a controller with proper stick placement as far as the reasons why I use my series x way more than my ps5.

Pretty much every game I play. One of, if not THE greatest leaps this gen.

Every game to be honest. Was really annoying to go back to PlayStation to play a few exclusive games.

Right now I'd say Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Persona 5 Tactica.

You don't realize how awesome that feature is until it doesn't work or isn't supported. Not only does diablo 4 not support it, but it also doesn't clearly indicate when the auto save (only way to save) is occuring. I don't want to know how much of my time with the game has been spent booting up and replaying the minute or two that didn't save.

Use it all the time! Usually have a fight night champion career on the go, and whatever my current game is (especially a big open world game so you can just drop in and out without loading).

It's not a feature that is any use for me personally.

Honestly, all of the games I play that support it. I am the kind of gamer that jumps in and out of a handful of games at any given time. I never just play 1 game at a time. So generally speaking, I love this feature with any of the games I am currently playing. By far my favorite new feature this generation. It was a game changer for me.

Never used it. I turned as much of that feature off so in theory the system can use its recourses just on the game I'm playing. Probably doesn't make a differance though

This feature is amazing.

So cool when I can hop between Halo, Gears, Fallout, Alan Wake 2, and Killer Instinct at will and continue exactly where i left off.

Last night I was going back and forth between Hellblade and Modern Warfare 2 campaign.

I just get annoyed at Games like Madden, Street Fighter and Top Spin. I forgot to close them and when I open it delays the getting to game experience.

On the games it works on its great, one of the best things this gen.

There’s just too many games that it doesn’t work on which is a shame.

I’m usually jumping between a main game and 3 sub games that are easy to play in bite size times

Truly mindless article. Why would you use Quick Resume for some games and not others?!? If you have to do that then what is the point of quick resume at all. If Jez Corden, Tom Warren or Phil Spencer aren’t tweeting Pure Xbox really do not have anything to write about.

I rarely use quick resume but the few times I have it was really nice. Stopped playing Sonic Superstars mid-level to play Halo online with my brother one night. When I was done, I was able to pick up right where I left off with Sonic.

It was really cool, shame I don’t play more games at once more often to make use of the feature more lol.

I don't use quick resume anymore.

More often than not it breaks some part of a game be it saves, counters, achievements, or something else.

Used to love it but it just doesn't work with games that need an online connection, and now I sync between lounge and game room Xboxs so it doesn't work with that regardless.

Any game that has the feature I use it to the fullest extent. I don't think I could ever go back. The switch is pretty snappy when it comes to quickly getting in and out in games, but then the series came around and blew it outta the water.

One of the series x greatest features, quick and useful. Use it loads and miss it when it’s not there when I play PS5 or Switch.
I’m surprised the PS5 hasn’t done the same by now.

I use quick resume on just about every single player game I play! MX vs ATV legends, Gears of War, Red Dead Redemption 1+2, GTA 4 + GTA 5, plus just about every Xbox 360 game I own I use quick resume with. It's probably one of the BEST next gen features of them all imo, it really feels magical to pick up EXACTLY where you left off like nothing happened!

This feature is the main reason I would choose to play something on Xbox vs PC.

I've seen a few comments being concerned that this feature would take resources away from what they're currently playing, but it doesn't. It basically copies the RAM to the SSD. When you use quick resume it loads back the data the other way.

There's no overhead cost on the CPU/GPU/RAM while the game state is stored to the SSD, so there's no performance impact when playing other games.

I’ve noticed that the quick resume feature often brings me back to the start screen, instead of working as expected. I wish I could get back into games faster, but maybe I just play the wrong ones.

It’s rare to find a game that isn’t quick resume

@Dangerdude it’s one area the Xbox beats the PlayStation as well, or switch for that matter. They keep a game running as long as the system is on. The Xbox keeps multiple games “running” (ready to resume at a moments notice), even if it’s turned off.

Love it with any game which does not need to connect to an online server. Is there a way to disable it on a game by game basis?
