@rhyno_888 they wouldn't force them to do anything though , spiderman makes to much money for disney.

Age of empires is a superb game , full of content with excellent gameplay , people can learn something too, looking forward to this, microsofts best xbox game in my opinion.

@rhyno_888 the spiderman games run deeper than just marvel letting Sony use the game ip, at the moment disney are happy that spiderman is in the mcu , who is owned by Sony, the reason spiderman is exclusive to ps at the moment is because of sonys relationship with disney, this however could change in the future.

@BacklogBrad for pc you mean ? No point in wasting money making an series x and series s version when nobody will buy it, the sales wouldn't justify the cost of development.

@Sol4ris they won't, it's just wishful thinking from xbox gamers , because ms has started the ball rolling, Sony will be laughing there heads off at the very thought of it.

@BacklogBrad I'm sure they would do great on xbox , every xbox owner wants spiderman , god of war, tlou and more recently helldivers 2 and ff7 you only have to look at the petitions , but Sony values them as playstation branded games, its what sells there consoles in the millions,there first party games more than likely will go to pc quicker in the future ,but xbox not a chance, unless ms get out of the console game and become a publisher that is , so who knows.

@Sol4ris I don't believe it works like that , if it did Sony and nintendo would've been a mutliplatform company decades ago , they didn't get where they are today by pimping out there exclusives, and as a heads up there's no need to put my comment in yours , I remember things

@BacklogBrad but publishers are skipping xbox, why do you think Sony will suddenly start putting there games on the xbox ? Xbox games have always been the lowest selling multiplatform games , why would Sony spend money developing and distributing , microsoft need to sell a lot more consoles for that to be viable, plus they will have that parity clause regarding the series s to contend , more hassle than it would be worth I feel.

@LX_FENIX exactly ,look at all the 3rd party exclusives theyve had this year and to come, granted they do fund or part fund these games or offer resources and publish them , but its always the same result , to keep them off other console platforms , with the success of helldivers I can see them offering more games to pc players, but xbox not a chance , this discussion has only come about ,because Microsoft has decided to offer first party games to other platforms, doesnt mean Sony or Nintendo are gonna do it , I mean xbox offers free cloud saves , Sony does not 😉

@BacklogBrad suppose you know of the ps5 issues regarding the game this was recently fixed and has seen a 112 percent increase in ps5 players , they just increased the cap to 700k but thus is also maxed out , maybe in a couple of years when nobody is playing it

@BacklogBrad if that was the case Sony and nintendo would've done it years ago, they've got plenty of games years old that could offer a monetary boost without hurting the brand , thing is you add to your rivals brand if you do this , helldivers 2 for example, the amount of posts I've seen on social media, people actually buying a ps5 for this single game is ridiculous, the game is associated with the Sony brand ; why would they give it to a rival console company ,doesn't make sense.

Sony will never release a first party game or a game they funded to be on a rival console, if they was in last place out of the 3 I'm sure they would consider it , but they're not so it won't happen , exclusivity is part of their eco system, why should I buy a playstation ? Because you can't play this or this or that if you don't, it's a mantra that's worked for years.

I'm never impressed by these figures for any sub service , isn't this basically just downloads

@eduscxbox corporate spiel, how can a game on rival platforms increase interest in the xbox console , anyone who believes that is foolish, Sony probably wouldn't allow any mention of xbox on their storefront is more than likely.

@Sifi all console sales are down as of January 2024, with the switch being the most affected , this will probably change next year with the rumoured launch of the switch 2 and ps5 Pro, the ps5 has seen a slight increase in Feb due to the price cut and helldivers 2 ,and of course ff7 rebirth

@K1LLEGAL it says xbox game studios , same as ps games on pc say , playstation studios , I really don't see the issue , same as mlb on xbox says ps studios , I mean how many times should they say xbox ?

Why should I care whos making games exclusively for ps5 , I still get to play them right? , don't really care who's logo comes up when the game starts , and just think of all the great stuff from Sony that'll be out next year , I know xbox has a few due this year and I'll play them on game pass , but let's be honest they're not really in the same league as a Sony first party title.no shade....just facts.

Well it makes sense, stick the game that is available on game pass, that will have the least amount of sales, at the back,isn't there an xbox logo on the box as well ?

@Sifi with that sub you also get online gaming , a selection of great games every month , exclusive discounts , cloud gaming , you can get credit from a online retailer and buy the sub and games, its far cheaper that way , just because you can't buy a code for a game , doesnt mean you can't get that game , just buy credit.
The calibre of Sony games are the best in the business of course theyre gonna take time , they also had the live service debacle and hacks to contend with , and besides it's not like ps doesn't have any exclusive this year , there's a plethora of titles due , including a certain 93 rated rpg next week I believe.
