Wow. Pricy for a 25 y/o game ran through presumably an off the shelf N64 emulator

Ha, just tried this game, not for me. The camera system is horrible, running along walls is annoying and the game is too fast, it's not easy keeping track of which character you are on the screen.

I was going to start this tonight, good timing.
Or should i wait if they keep adding to it? hmm.

For the store, i really wish it would show when the last time the game got updated and a link to the changelog.
Too may games i've been put off buying because of reported crashes when this could have been resovled with the lated update. Similar to how googple play store works.

I just purchased Far Cry Primal only a few hours ago becasue it was in a sale, i'll be annoyed if that comes to GamePass !
I assumed no more Far Cry would come to GamePass due to Ubisoft+

And this is why I never play games on day 1 (or even month 1).

I thought Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake was already on Game Pass?

Xbox app in the morning.
Bing app for reading news, including searches (60 for app, 90 using android chrome browser in desktop mode for PC searches).
Use edge browser on PC, always something to click on when logged in (achievements page).
Play Xbox pretty much everyday.
Playing PC only worth 20 points a day these days.

@MaccaMUFC I have 179,219 points this year, I don't think I could have made anymore. I have a touch of OCD I'm sure. I think the area you come from makes a big difference in points you can earn. I'm from the UK.

I thought you couldn't or am i confusing it with another system?

Graphically this looks top notch. Fingers crossed for 60fps, even 40 fps will do.

I have to say last years Black Friday sales was a let down, in regards to games anyway.

@themightyant Same here, I'll play one game to completion. Maybe play 2/3 games in a month depending on how big they are.

Played this game only a few months ago for the first. Hard to believe this game is 11 years old, it looks stunning considering. I would give 8/10 easy.

@trev666 Where are you based? In the UK still the 3-5 secs.
Not seeing the 1000pts for playing PC but seeing 1000pts for using Microsoft Defender (if you have Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription).

Xbox needs more ARPG, i'm looking forward to Titan Quest 2 next year also.

Having gone from the Xbox 360, had a big gap in playing games and now playing again on series X, I have to say the last gen version looks damm good considering.

It's a sad day when £150 for a controller is considered 'cheap'.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night definitely worth a try.

I used to have this game in my wish list but after looking at some of the more recent comments I started having second thoughts. How is this game to play on series X.
Good/bad/average game?

Did we ever find out if day one releases eventually come to Standard tier?
How many games are not in the standard tier compared to the Ultimate?
Intentionally vague in my opinion. Not interest in multiplayer or EA games but will end up getting Ultimate teir. Not even interested in Day one releases, they all need patching first.

I has some graphical glitches with the last update, I hope they are fixed now.

@FraserG Not sure. Pity there is no way of sending a picture so you can see which text is affected.

@FraserG I have alot of text on web pages showing as unreadable characters, both in chrome and Edge. Only started like this today.

@Echtzeit Crashed on me a few times, maybe like once a day. I put this down to the xbox resume/wake up feature but I could be wrong.

I enjoyed it, 9/10. It could have done some more/better side quests (just to make the game longer).

Looks nice, but not £200 nice.

Mafia - I'm playing it but can't say I'm enjoying it. A good story doesn't make up for boring driving sections, yanky controls for fist fighting and unforgiving shooting parts.

I will try this tonight. I started with Mafia last night but it doesn't feel like my cup of tea.

I've just chosen Skyrim to play rather than Starfield. I felt when startfield came out it would take a couple of years of updates to make it the game it was meant to be.

@Titntin wow - level 420. Maybe it's me, I proabaly don't have the patience. Constantly spending, days, weeks or months just leveling up is not my cup of tea. I agree, it's a fantastic world though.

@Ricky-Spanish For a 50 yo, coming from a time you had one button to press, it is in fact - VERY HARD.
I play games to enjoy them, not to throw the controller through the TV screen.

Still no easy 'story' mode then??

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
It's been a long time since I played a platform game on the Xbox - it doesn't disappoint.

Nothing else on my list was in the sale.

I would like to see a update on this story. On a techincal level, I would like to know why there is such a difference in update sizes between PS & Xbox. 10x the size is crazy.

@theoryofeverywhere Unless you want to throw your controller through the TV i'd leave well alone.

A Short Hike is a great game, Venba is ok for collecting achievements (and you have a guide).

As long as all games do come eventually to the standard tier. I tend to wait 6 months anyway for day 1 releases, for bugfix updates and such.

@NEStalgia You are correct about the struggle of going back to games after time. It baffles me how late DLCs make money, I could never go back to a game a year later just because a DLC was released.

@TheOldHunter4K I started with a Atari 800XL, missed the ST as the Amiga has superior graphics at the time.

@RiverGenie As a Amiga 500 & 1200 owner (don't let that be a judge of old old I am!) i was going to say like a Atari ST game but felt that would have been too low an insult.. 😛

The Case Of The Golden Idol looks horrible. Looks like an old Amiga game, and that's being nice.

Would the 'unresolved issues' be in fact the Series S machine?

Seems great so far but I only started last night. Fantastic graphics, performance mode, VRR. It's not a walking sim, or a shooter, somewhere inbetween.
