It might feel like years because it was so quickly abandoned but Wreckreation came out less than 9 months ago, in Oct. 2025.
I wish these guys all the best but we've heard this spiritual successor line so many times now and it's never panned out. Wreckreation had this same mission statement.
Well I'm out, I'll look into this in a year when it's half the price. $80 for a code isn't something I can stomach. If it was a Play Anywhere title I could give it some thought but building up my digital Xbox library at this point feels foolish.
Beautiful game and really creative overall, but I can't imagine playing it ever again. It was an ok romp but is really quite dull and from a gameplay perspective there's so very little that engages you.
