Some people threaten to leave XBOX next gen as if Microsoft will lose money. Quite the opposite in my opinion. Most of these people never buy ANYTHING outside of Gamepass (and many of them have stacked dirt cheap GPs to begin with), and the consoles are sold at a loss with main profit being the 30% cut from the third party sales. When they're not selling almost next to nothing third party games due to
A) Lack of meaningful active player base compared to PC/PS5
B) People not buying games outside of GP
Then it's obvious some people leaving the "ecosystem" will only benefit them. For each one leaving the ecosystem, there are multiple people on Playstation/Nintendo ecosystems that will purchase the games full price that not only covering the few pennies yearly revenue from that player, but will bring in much more money.
So yeah, XBOX knows business better than many of the armchair analysts here and it's quite the opposite of the death of XBOX.
One of those votes is mine. As a PlayStation gamer my whole life (sine 1996), the only XBOX I owned was 360. I have played the original trilogy back in 360 days and it's been on my wishlist ever since. Really love to play a remake of the original trilogy, 4 and 5.
