'What Do You Want Added?' - Xbox Engineer Requests Ideas For New Console Features

Following yesterday's multiple improvements to Xbox achievements, as well as Xbox boss Asha Sharma announcing the formation of a "dedicated team" for fan feedback, one particular Xbox engineer has taken to social media today to request ideas for new console features in the future.

Bill Ridmann, who has been part of Team Xbox since 2015 (and Microsoft since 2005), says the team is "rocking and rolling on bringing new Xbox console features", and he's looking for ideas from fans:

As you can see, there are a lot of replies to this tweet already, with some of the most liked replies involving achievements for original Xbox games, the return of Netflix Party Mode, additional backwards compatible games and support for HDR on the Xbox dashboard itself.

There's been some discussion in the Pure Xbox comments sections about where feedback can be submitted to Team Xbox, and we've pointed out that the Xbox Insider program is one of the main avenues for this, but Bill is clearly looking for direct feedback on Twitter/X here — so it's worth dropping him a reply if you have an account.

We'd love to hear your console feature requests down in the comments section as well though, as well as what you think about some of the suggestions above. Fingers crossed for plenty more Xbox Series X|S improvements in 2026!
