@GeeEssEff yeah, you should probably use guide for that. Go to your in game codex and find which number Comic is missing and then use one of guides in internet to get it.

Right now I finished 1st map completely, used hacking skill on bounty board and I am 18k. You should be having many thaousands on 2nd, 3rd map. And buying bullets is great option for you then. And are you even opening Mods vending machine? Weapon Mod Vending machines are full with Weapon mods. Each map has its own main mods to buy.
For example Fairfield has 5x mods for light pistol, repearing rifle, light revolver etc. Yeah some of those are 1k, expensive. But starting price is 250 for some mods. Depends what you want.
Seems that you are rushing quickly through main story maybe? Then it eill be harder for you, if you dont go through every map and most of the quests. Thats how you get those Bits left and right. Yes, game is not easy and you have to do extra chores, and if you dont enjoy that, then your experience will be worse.
On first map I have completed 23 quests/tasks for comparision. Done collectibles.

@GeeEssEff you have just not adopted to game. You have to use crafting, breakdown any regular bullet weapon at table and you will get Black Powder/Scraps. And craft your needed ammo. Mods are not often in first map to find, you can buy them tho.
Play around skills/perks. I am on my 2nd playthrough.
I invested Trait into crafting. I have cleared 1st map with 90% on Hard, and last boss on Normal. I havent bought any ammo. I havent sold any item. I have plenty of ammo for Compact/short/shells. I run out at last boss encounter, and then I swapped to Electric Rod weapon with 2000 units. Extra perks in extra loot from storage and robots. Level 10 and I will leave 2st Map with 17k cash too. This is knowledge after 1st playthrough

@EfYI people cancelled their GamePass before they got any information from MS personally. You should investigate what really is bait and switch. MS didnt switch anything, people did stupid things before time. Any Subscription change doesnt happen overnight, same thing applies to Netflix and Disney and mobile plans as example. Company announces price hike. That is applied for all new customers and then you have to receive message personally how and when it will affect you personally. People just panicked without any reason. But anyway all Gamepass plans will be up in 3 months time for everyone.

@EfYI it is exactly what you read. They have to give notice individually to all customers where it is needed. Why would they state in PR material exact timings? That will be mentioned in Emails when people will receive it.

@EfYI nah, just consumer rights. Usually they have to inform about price change at least 30 days before that new payment. Some countries has 60 days by law and thats all.

@Feffster it is nothing like that. Simple law about changing prices. Usually price changes for existing customers is no less than 30 days later from announcment. In those specific countries those are 60 days by law. And thats all. no drama, no fuss. Just people rushing without thinking.

@oopsiezz there was zero advertisement that game is on GamePass. All real world ads DIDN'T include text "Available on GamePass". I would easily say, Xbox did everything to hide it from casual people who doesnt follow up xbox/gamepass related stuff.

@BRT15 why bash EA for everything. Codemasters did that way before EA aquired them.
