That was a huge blow for Sony and their PlayStation fans....but it sure is a huge win for Microsoft the deal felt through.

Terrible decisions done at Microsoft.

Who would be dumb enough to buy an Xbox console when "everything" around is now considered an Xbox...especially since it has been losing all its own exclusive games and with it its own brand identity everyday that goes by.

I made that mistake 3 years ago, but never again would trust Microsoft.

@electrolite77 : Funny enough even Ubisoft which is by far the most greedy gaming publisher this generation are turning things around making changes in favor to gamers...and yet Microsoft the more people complaint the more they make things difficult degrading the Xbox brand at a all time low gaming moral.

Screw Xbox.....never again I would support that brand as long as their business mentality takes the primary focus.

As a Loooong time Xbox fan I have to say that moving forward the next generation I won't be supporting Xbox hardware at all as games will be totally multiplatform so why even bother spending money on a Xbox system that won't have any incentive for me to support.

The reason why Nintendo don't have the game "output" Microsoft has is because Nintendo fully understands that game development takes time when done the right way.

How can people even consider buying games that clearly needs far more time in development.

@theduckofdeath : I'm sorry but the actions of some developers (including Microsoft) in releasing games in such a terrible state it doesn't mean is impossible to release a game in optimal condition....Nintendo and Sony would like to talk to you if you think otherwise.

@Rog-X : Still inexcusable they would release a game so badly bugged down by everything.

I'm have no doubt the game will eventually be better, but it wouldn't have affected them if they would have taken the additional 5 months it needed to be completed....rushing a game out there it only leaves a bad taste in people's minds.

Hopefully there would be a day in which Microsoft may say:

"Hey if we were to release complete fully working games on day 1, perhaps that would give gamers confidence and excitement in increasing our GamePass subscriptions and console sales."

It's just beyond me that Microsoft expects GamePass subscriptions, game and console sales but without putting the effort on their part to make it happen.

@ZYDIO : To get purchases out of the PS3 , PSVita, and PS4 servers are as bad as the Xbox 360...it's convoluted and incredibly difficulty as many digital items no longer have their unique name to set them apart from the actual Games, or their DLC counterparts....so you no longer know what you are seeing on screen.

@ZYDIO : I really hope Sony and Microsoft get sued for this as it's completely illegal for them not to make these purchases easily accessible on the devices are meant to be used on....this is as illegal as not providing an accessable option to cancel subscriptions.

I can tell already Xbox won't have much of presence in the show as they have something planned for next month.

You are wrong , I have looked, there's stuff missing there, especially DLC from the Xbox 360 era.

This is exactly what people are complaining about, the fact that some stuff are randomly disappearing.

Yes, it's true...as there is no dedicated option or screen to access and redownload all our purchases made over the years as many digital game purchases are not even showing up under the Microsoft account.

Everything from the Xbox 360 and Xbox One is a shot in the dark to find especially if those prior purchases have a newer remaster or remake for Series X/S in which you might not find the older title even using the search button.

Same goes with purchases made with the PS3 and PS4...but let's not speak of the devil.

There are people out there that would burn money for the sake of seeing it burn.....this is the perfect example of it.

Some people still think this is only available on PlayStation platforms.... little do they know.

Funny how some PlayStation gamers think the Legacy of Kain remaster is only releasing on PlayStation systems just because it was announced on a State of Play stream....lol

Ubisoft put themselves in that situation with their Always Online restrictions, microtransactions and shutting down games people paid full price for.

In another words they are better off starting from scratch.

We knew that once Call of Duty released, Xdefiant would be history.

I'm an Xbox fan through and through, but I have to admit that ever since Microsoft's sole purpose of GamePass subscriptions and digital game sales they couldn't careless about the consumer as they used to.

Microsoft is truly destroying everything about Xbox, a legacy they had successfully accomplished with the Xbox 360 and they could had continued if their minds weren't so fixated in the bottom line.

I honestly wish now they would just go fully 3rd party publisher so we can't stop pretending not to see the writing on the wall. 😔

The whole situation with most Xbox games got completely out of hand, it's just disappointing to realize that if want to get a physical version of the game I have to count on PlayStation.

Congrats....and I sincerely wish him good luck as it won't be easy to manage the studios when his own boss and CEO is just thinking about the bottom line.

Let's hope people like him in their new positions can turn things around for the best.

Remember when PlayStation gamers claimed the franchise would only "fall further under" with Microsoft acquiring Activision?

Well I many of them are trying to walk back their words.

But it's true....a PlayStation nowadays is an Xbox.
No need to get mad about it.

I just want Microsoft to stop being so schizophrenic with the Xbox brand, either they need to commit to it 100% or they need to just go multiplatform already, but this attitude of having one foot in and one out it needs to stop as the fans can no longer tell if we should continue to support their consoles or just move on into buying the Nintendo or PlayStation version of the games.

The game is far better than what an article on this website led us to believe.

Absolutely...I'm still jumping on and off between the the Xbox 360 and Series X with hopes that one day I would finish my huge 360 backlog of amazing games.
