@zanlyons if it has Thunderbolt 4 or OCuLink so I could hook up an eGPU, that would sweeten the deal, but otherwise I'd rather just get a mini PC with similar or better specs for less money.
Anything more than $699 USD, and it's DOA to me. I'd just buy a entry level gaming laptop instead, and have a discrete GPU. It's not like the Ally will fit in your pocket, you're still going to have to carry it around in a bag...and if I want to game on the bus, train or plane with something that does fit in my pocket, I've got my phone and a Kishi. If it's not cheaper than a laptop, then the laptop is almost always going to be a better option (at least to me).
I'm part of that small minority that still plays occasionally. If my wheel/pedal/shifter set worked with everything, I'd still play it regularly. I still dip into 3 somewhat often, and I've been looking for a copy of 2 to complete my collection. In fact I bought a used 360 recently specifically just to play FH1. This is a little disappointing.
I don't think I've ever paid more than $50 for a game, and I never will. Even $50 is pushing it. If it's not on Game Pass, discounted or used, I just ignore it until it is. The game will be equally fun whether I play it on release day, or years later (and if not, well, then you really DID make the right call not to overpay when it launched).
Not only do we play FH5 regularly in this household, but we also play FH1, FH3 & FH4 regularly as well. The only reason we don't play FH2 is because I haven't found a reasonably priced copy yet (and now I only have PC, making it even harder*). We play all the different racing/driving games, but Forza Horizon the most, because it's just plain fun and low-stress.
(*Edit: I forgot I have a working x360 again - which I bought just so my kid could play FH1 again - so I guess I don't need PC FH2. I could still buy a used console version from a used store like I did when we got FH1)
