Between Xbox/PC (via the Xbox store) I've bought 42 games and not a single one of them is a physical game. Quite a few were in the sale but plenty of them were also full price titles at launch.
Honestly I think this is pathetic. Microsoft are a multi-trillion dollar company, they have assets from 2024 and it would likely take them a couple of hours to have an intern go through and change a few variables in the code and to update a few specific assets (swapping 2024 for 2025 in the logo) yet they can't even be bothered to do that.
The lack of effort from them, even for something so small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things is part of the reason I'm moving further and further away from Xbox as a whole. I've already pre-paid for Game Pass through April 2028 so I'll continue using that until it expires, but honestly, I can see the Xbox going the way my PS5 has this year, and that is not being turned on at all.
