If the game is already installed, it just launches the game without opening the other platform/app. However, these other apps have to have already launched with you logged in. Which most PC gamers have auto launch and log by default (just minimized to the tray). Otherwise, it will ask you to login to the other app, other than GOG. Because GoG games are DRM Free (I buy from steam, I grab all the freebies from GOG, Amazon, Epic, etc).
