Today's been a busy day for Final Fantasy news! The State of Play showcase from Sony treated us to two separate announcements from the series, and we've also got a third one to highlight that was discovered after the event.
Firstly though, the key thing here is that Final Fantasy VII Revelation — the final entry in the FF7 Remake Trilogy — has an official release date of April 8th, 2027. It's good to know we can put that in the diary now! To go with it, pre-orders have begun on the Xbox Store, with prices beginning at £69.99 / $69.99 for the standard edition.
There is a Premium Edition that will give you access to the Story Expansion pass for a bit more money, allowing you to get 24 hours of early access along with the two story DLCs (Sephiroth and Vincent & the Turks) when they become available, and there's even a Premium Plus Edition featuring extra goodies such as a digital art book.
However, you've got one other option here, and this is the surprise extra announcement - there's a new FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series Trilogy Edition on the Xbox Store that contains all three games for £79.99 / $84.99.
Beyond this, we also need to mention that the free demo for Final Fantasy Resonance is officially out now on the Xbox Store! This is the HD-2D remake of the original game that comes out in late October, and the demo allows you to "explore the entire first chapter exactly as it appears in the full version".
Better yet, progress will transfer over to the full game as well.
There's lots to look forward to when it comes to Final Fantasy on Xbox, then, and don't forget that both Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth are down to their lowest prices ever in the Xbox Deep Discounts Sale.
This is definitely a great time to check out the FF7 Remake trilogy in particular if you're curious!
