Back when PEAK was first released in June of 2025 for PC, we talked about how it "might" release for Xbox at some point in the future, but there was no way of knowing when exactly that would be.

Well, surprise! PEAK now officially has a release date of October 22nd, 2026 for Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, bringing one of the biggest co-op games of last year to Series X and S for the very first time.

If you never followed all the hype around this one, PEAK is a co-op game that's all about climbing, and the idea is to try and reach the top of a mountain by clambering up ledges, placing ropes and spikes, scaveging for food, and ultimately trying to survive. You can play it alone if you want to, but it's best experienced in multiplayer.

Feedback for the game has been extremely good over the past 12 months - it has almost 150,000 user reviews on Steam, and 95% of them have described it as "positive" (leading to an "Overwhelmingly Positive" average rating).

Definitely one to consider, then! The best news is that it's likely to be very inexpensive when it launches, most likely costing around $9.99 for the Xbox version, so you won't have to break the bank to give it a try for yourself.

We'll leave you with more details and screenshots for PEAK ahead of its October 22nd release down below.

PEAK is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its center. Do you have what it takes to reach the PEAK?
