Yesterday, we brought you news that new game tile tags had been added to the Xbox dashboard in the latest round of insider updates, and it turns out that wasn't the only new feature that was spotted by fans following the rollout.

Another somewhat major addition is that a new Microsoft Rewards tracker has been added to both the Xbox dashboard and your Xbox profile. The idea is to help you keep track of your daily streaks and Xbox Game Pass Weekly Streak so you don't miss a day by accident, although we've already seen some confusion about it online.

As for why we're getting random features like this without warning, Xbox shared a note on the Xbox Insider Reddit page the other day confirming that they're experimenting with new features across various tiers of the Insider program, and that "not everything will be called out in release notes".

Specifically, they say the following:

"Some XBOX Insiders may notice changes to their experience over the coming months as we test and evaluate new features and experiences. These updates may vary by player, evolve over time, or not become permanent additions to XBOX."

So, even though we'll continue pointing out all the most notable new features as they're revealed, it's worth doing a bit of exploration for yourself if you're part of the Xbox Insider program as well. You never know what you might find!
