Over the years, we've never really seen Xbox discounting Game Pass for anyone aside from when they host special $1 trials for various tiers, but it seems like they've begun a new system of discounts for some ex-members specifically.
A particular Reddit thread has been getting a ton of attention over the weekend because of someone claiming they were able to get 12 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $16.09 per-month instead of the usual $22.99.

Various people then took to the comments to reveal that they've received similar offers recently, although the exact price seems to differ per-person and there's certainly no guarantee you'll get a special offer if you're an ex-member.
Is this something we can get expect going forward, or is it just an experiment from Microsoft to see whether people are more likely to resubscribe at the discounted price? That remains to be seen, but it's certainly an intriguing development, and we'll keep an eye out for any other notable reports along the same lines in the weeks and months to come.
