August looks like it's shaping up to be a big month already! Amongst all the new releases coming our way (including some exciting Xbox Game Pass titles), we've also now got two massive betas confirmed for Xbox Series X|S.
The first of these is the Gears of War: E-Day Multiplayer Beta, which will run across two weekends in August. Anyone who pre-orders the game digitally (and in some cases physically) or has a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate / PC Game Pass will get early access between August 6th and August 10th.
There's no official date for the Open Beta yet, but we're assuming it'll be the week after early access.

The second beta in August is for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which will also run across two periods. Early access takes place from August 21st to August 25th for anyone who pre-orders the game, while the Open Beta takes place from August 28th to September 1st for everyone on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and other non-Xbox platforms.
Here's what you can expect from that one:
Get ready to drop into multiple Multiplayer maps and modes, choosing from a wide selection of brand-new Operators, including all the Vault Edition Operators for players who pre-order the Vault Edition, and unlocking as many as 19 different weapons before deploying into everything from small-scale 3v3 skirmishes to massive tactical battles featuring tanks and more. Test your mettle across new and returning modes, from Search & Destroy to the brand-new Kill Block, plus the Training Mobility Course.
We'll have more details on both of these as we get closer to the time, but for now we just wanted to make you aware that you'll be able to play both Gears of War: E-Day and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 in August on your Xbox console.
