by A little while ago, it was announced that Dispatch was coming to Xbox at some point in the summer, and now we finally have an official release date for it - this amazing 2025 game arrives on Xbox Series X and Series S on July 29th.
If you haven't come across it before, think of Dispatch as being like the old Telltale games, or Life is Strange, or anything along those lines - but with its own unique style thrown in. You play as a downed superhero who ends up becoming a dispatcher for a dysfunctional crew, and it features a mix of both Telltale-style gameplay with choices to make and quick-time events to partake in, along with a dispatch system where you have to send your reckless superheroes out to different emergencies by picking the right people for the job.
Today's announcement confirmed that Dispatch will also be an Xbox Play Anywhere title when it launches on July 29th, meaning you'll get a free version on the Xbox PC app when you buy it on console.
I've been playing Dispatch on my ROG Xbox Ally X for quite some time now, and I personally think it's really good. I used to love The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us back in the day, and even though those games set a really high bar for the genre, there's an argument to say that Dispatch is right up there with them.
No word on pricing yet, but it's probably going be around £24.99 / $29.99 for the Xbox version (with a free PC copy thrown in!) in late July. If you have any interest in this one at all, it's well worth adding your wishlist on the Xbox Store.
