Back on Friday, we shared how Xbox had unveiled a new logo design along with the words "We are Xbox" next to it, and at the time there were a lot of requests for it to be turned into a dynamic background on Series X and Series S.
That still hasn't happened just yet, but we do have four new official wallpapers from Xbox based on this new logo design, with each of them said to represent the four console generations of Xbox up to this point.
Interestingly, the one that was shared on Friday is described as the "Xbox Original" design, while there are slight colour differences for the Xbox 360 logo, the Xbox One logo and the Xbox Series X|S logo.
For those wondering how to make one of these your background on Xbox, you'll need to go to the official Xbox wallpapers webpage on the Microsoft Edge app, and then find the image you want and choose "Wide 2560x1440" as the size. When it loads, press the Menu button on the picture and choose "Set as Background".
Doing this will immediately make it your background, but you can't adjust where the logo is placed (and to be honest, the tiles on the Xbox dashboard block the image quite a bit). Your way around this is to put the image on a USB stick and plug it into your console, and then go to Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Custom image. From there, you'll be able to upload the wallpaper and frame it however you like as a console background.
These wallpapers aren't necessarily meant as console backgrounds anyway, so we assume some dedicated dynamic backgrounds could be on the way in the near future, but it's interesting to see each console generation getting updated with this new design all the same. We'll leave a closer look at each of the four wallpapers down below, along with a bonus fifth wallpaper in the form of the Project Helix logo!
