We've actually had quite a lot of big releases on Xbox this week, and two of the biggest are Capcom's Pragmata and the indie sensation Mouse: PI for Hire, so we thought we'd give you a look at both of these running on Xbox.
Let's start with Pragmata — we actually covered an Xbox and Switch comparison for the demo version of this game a while ago, which showed that both the Xbox Series X and S were running at a mostly smooth 60FPS, but the Series S version notably looked a little rough and actually struggled in comparison to the Switch 2 from a visual standpoint.
In terms of the full release, we can see that the Xbox Series X version of Pragmata basically emulates the demo version, looking pretty good and dropping slightly below 60FPS at times, but not to any major degree (at least based on this footage). On Xbox Series S, the visuals do seem to have improved slightly compared to the demo, but the Switch 2 version still looks better. Importantly though, the Series S version runs at a mostly stable 60FPS, whereas the Switch 2 drops into the mid-40s.
Here's the Series X version, as well as Digital Foundry's comparison of the Switch 2, PS5 and Series S versions:
As we move to Mouse: PI for Hire, there's not as much to dig into in terms of visual quality — it's a unique-looking indie shooter that we always expected would show up well on the Series X and S — but the frame rate is an interesting one.
Fuzion Xbox Testing's video of the Xbox Series X version shows the performance mode running at a quite variable frame rate in the 100-120FPS range. They say it's "not as unstable as it seems", but screen tearing causes the results to jump around a little bit... in other words, you'll ideally want to play at 120FPS with a VRR-supported display. The quality mode runs at a stable 4K, 60FPS with no evident dips based on early footage.
On Xbox Series S, Mouse: PI for Hire also runs at a consistent 60FPS in quality mode and a mostly locked 120FPS in performance mode, and in terms of visuals, it still seems perfectly good enough on the cheaper current-gen system.
In addition, the game will be getting an Xbox patch featuring "stability & performance" improvements soon:

Both games are available to purchase on the Xbox Store today, and we assume they're going to prove pretty popular over the weekend — let us know if you're buying either Pragmata, Mouse: PI for Hire or both in the comments below!
