Shadow drop alert! It's been revealed today via the official Xbox Wire blog that RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is apparently arriving for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on March 25th, 2026.
This is a game that had not been announced for Xbox ahead of time, but it does indeed have a page on the official Xbox Store which mentions that the platforms are Series X and S, although pre-orders aren't available at the time of writing.
For those who aren't aware, RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic was first released on mobile in 2016 before transitioning to PC in 2017, and it's a combination of both the first RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, complete with multiple expansion packs.
The game has been received well over the years, with the most recent release on Nintendo Switch racking up a "Great" 8/10 score from our friends at Nintendo Life, who had the following to say in their review:
"RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic maintains its crown as the lord of all theme park management sims..."
"With smartly designed controls and that timeless RCT gameplay (vertical) loop (right) completely intact, the best way to play this classic in your living room TV might, ironically, be Nintendo’s handheld hybrid."
