We've got a big delisting and server shutdown announcement to bring your way today, as EA has announced that the 2015 shooter Battlefield Hardline will be delisted in May and go offline in June.
This is specifically for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Battlefield Hardline, as the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions have long since been delisted, and the PC release isn't actually being affected as part of today's announcement.
So, Battlefield Hardline will no longer be available to purchase on the modern-day Xbox Store after May 22nd, 2026. After that, the online multiplayer servers will be shut down across Xbox One and PS4 on June 22nd, 2026.
Here's the confirmation:
"On Friday, May 22nd, Battlefield Hardline on Xbox One and PlayStation®4 will be removed from digital storefronts, and you will no longer be able to purchase it and all extra related content, such as DLC.
Online services on these platforms will end on Monday, June 22nd. While Hardline will no longer support online functionality on Xbox One and PlayStation®4, players who own the game will still be able to play the single-player component."
As you can see, EA has at least confirmed that the single-player campaign will remain playable in Battlefield Hardline following the delisting and server shutdown, so you'll still be able to enjoy this one outside of online multiplayer.
For now though, the game remains part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as part of the EA Play program, and it's also much cheaper on the Xbox Store these days - it retails for £14.99 / $19.99 when it's full price.
We're hoping EA will throw us a bone over the coming months and discount Battlefield Hardline back to its lowest ever price of just £0.74 / $0.99, so we'd suggest sitting tight for now until it hopefully appears in an upcoming Xbox sale.
