If you're a fan of games like Riders Republic or Descenders on Xbox, you'll probably want to know about MAVRIX by Matt Jones — a little-known extreme sports game that's arriving on Xbox in early access next Thursday, January 22nd.

MAVRIX has been on Steam for a few months now, where it holds a "Mostly Positive" rating amongst its playerbase. The game features a massive multiplayer open world spanning "100 square kilometres of Downhill race tracks, huge slopestyle lines and multiple bike parks".

Whether you want to actually race or just explore and define your own lines, MAVRIX allows you to do just that — and you can ride with friends in multiplayer, as well as compete for prizes as part of the global rankings. All of this is enabled by what's described as an "authentic physics and control" system.

As mentioned, the reviews are "Mostly Positive" — with a little bit of grumbling about a lack of content and difficult controls — and specifically 79% of the 600+ user reviews are positive overall on Steam so far.

MAVRIX is arriving as part of the Game Preview program on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on January 22nd, which means it's considered a work-in-progress title. There's no price or pre-orders for it just yet, but based on the PC version, we assume it's going to cost around £30 / $30 when it arrives on Thursday.
