If you've happened to venture away from the Xbox ecosystem over the past few days, you may have noticed that a new game called Where Winds Meet has been proving extremely popular across Steam and the PlayStation Store.

This is a free-to-play open-world action-adventure RPG featuring a narrative-driven campaign that can either be played solo or in co-op, and the first reviews have been very good, with the game boasting a "Very Positive" rating on Steam.

So, is Where Winds Meet coming to Xbox? It does seem to be on the way, but we're going to have to be patient for it. A slide at the end of the recent PS5 launch trailer mentions that Where Winds Meet is a PlayStation console exclusive for six months, meaning Where Winds Meet can't launch on Xbox until at least May 14th, 2026.

'Where Winds Meet' Expected To Release For Xbox Following Major Success On PC & PS5 2

If you head over the official Discord server for Where Winds Meet, there's a suggestion in the FAQ that an Xbox version is on the cards, but we haven't come across a formal developer response yet. Nevertheless, if the game continues to prove this popular, it's only going to make sense to bring it to Xbox consoles as well.

Here's what one of the old FAQ responses says from a moderator on that Discord server:

"Where Winds Meet is expected to launch on November 14th, 2025 for PC and PS5. Mobile Release: TBD Xbox release: TBD."

In the meantime, we'll leave you with details on Where Winds Meet below, and don't forget you can play this on the ROG Xbox Ally if you own one - just go to Steam and download it! Here's hoping it'll be on Xbox consoles by mid-next year.
