We've already seen some great Xbox Game Pass additions this week (including two today), but we're also looking towards next week and particularly Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, which is a great story-driven action-RPG from 2024.

It's not arriving on Xbox Game Pass until November 25th, but if you want to get a headstart and see whether it's something you want to play, there's actually a free trial for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden on the Xbox Store.

This was added back in May of last year, and it's still available to this day!

The trial for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden requires you to download the full game, meaning you'll be good to go when it arrives on Xbox Game Pass next week as well - and your progress should also carry over to the XGP release on the 25th. You'll get around two hours out of the trial before it restricts access any further.

Is it worth it? Well, multiple people here at Pure Xbox HQ are pretty hot on Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, and we gave it a "Great" 8/10 in our February 2024 review. We'll leave you with an excerpt of that review down below along with a link to the full thing, and you can check out a few screenshots of the game too.

"Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a super solid action-RPG that delivers an absorbing and emotional ghost story on top of combat that, well, it gets the job done. Antea and Red are a fantastic pair of leads, the writing and acting are on point and 17th New England is every bit as effective a setting as you would hope for a spooky tale of lovers torn apart. If you can make do with a world that's more linear than most modern efforts and combat that isn't going to give Geralt of Rivia any sleepless nights, you're in for a right treat."
