We haven't talked much about the co-op horror game Phasmophobia in a while here at Pure Xbox, but rest assured it's been faring extremely well since its Xbox release last year, and it's getting a free update today with a brand-new map.

The update introduces Nell's Diner, which features 13 new rooms, 11 of which are possible ghost rooms. It's amazingly the game's 14th map to date, and here's a bit more on what to expect from it:

"Ghost Hunters will soon be able to explore Nell’s, a run-down, retro restaurant that’s been long-abandoned by staff and diners alike. Set to be one of the game’s smaller maps, similar in size to the houses, it features a classic food counter complete with red leather stools and booths, a kitchen, storage rooms, and of course, plenty of hauntings to decipher.

Nell’s Diner will be Phasmophobia’s 14th map, and follows two substantial reworks to the game’s existing maps earlier this year, the Bleasdale and Grafton Farmhouses."

As mentioned, Phasmophobia is doing really well in the "Top Paid" Xbox charts right now - it's in third place ahead of the likes of EA Sports FC 26, ARC Raiders, NBA 2K26 and many other massive games from this year.

Part of that could be because it's got a free trial — the charts seem to count free trial downloads as well — but it's clearly still proving a very popular game on the platform, even over 12 months since release.

Anyway, feel free to go and check out Nell's Diner when it arrives in Phasmophobia at 12pm GMT today, and you can look forward to plenty more new content in 2026 including new maps, seasonal events and even a major overhaul!
