Mafia: The Old Country brought its classic third-person adventure to Xbox earlier this year, and today, the team at Hangar 13 is bringing the game's new 'Free Ride' update to all platforms.
Available November 20th as a free update for existing owners, the Free Ride update adds "several exciting new game features" - including photo mode, classic difficulty, first-person driving and more. We'll chuck a longer description of the update down below, straight from the team:
"Free Ride allows players to venture deeper into the world of Mafia: The Old Country, testing their skills across gritty new combat challenges and white-knuckle races. Combat challenges unlock as players progress through the main story and can be replayed to earn tier rewards.
The update also introduces several exciting new game features. Players can now capture the early 1900s Sicilian setting with a new Photo Mode (complete with unique filters) or experience the game as a classic film via Cinema Siciliano, a black and white cinematic mode inspired by vintage Italian movies. For veterans, the fan-favourite Classic Difficulty returns, demanding careful health and ammo management, while the new First-Person Driving perspective offers a more engaging and realistic experience in all vehicles.
The update also introduces new vehicles, guns, knives, outfits, and charms for players to acquire."
We'll also throw a few images from the update down below, including an example of that classic film filter mentioned in the quote above! If you want to see all of this in action, the Free Ride update trailer is available at the top of the article as well.
Will this update make Mafia: The Old Country worth revisiting? Talk to us about 'Free Ride' down below.
