Stellar Blade has been a massive hit on PS5 and PC, and earlier in the summer, we heard that a Switch 2 port was reportedly being considered by developer Shift Up. Well, now we're hearing that the game is being considered for "additional platforms" more generally - and that's coming straight from the horse's mouth.
In a new studio earnings call shared by outlet Tech4Gamers, the team was asked about its Stellar Blade plans in Q4 2025 and into 2026. The developer said that it is planning "various promotional activities" relating to the game, before going on to say that it's also "considering additional platform expansions" in future.
"To further enhance brand recognition and boost sales, we plan to carry out various promotional activities and are considering additional platform expansions to make Stellar Blade accessible to more players."
Of course, while Xbox isn't directly mentioned here, the team does state "platform expansions" - hinting that multiple ports are on the table, and that ultimately, it wants to get the game on as many systems as possible. For now, Stellar Blade is on PS5 and PC, so it stands to reason that Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S would be next in line.
We've also now seen evidence that this sort of thing can actually happen. Fellow Sony-published title Helldivers 2 launched on Xbox earlier this year, giving us a clear idea of the sorts of Xbox ports we can expect from the PlayStation owner. We'll be keeping our eye on the future of Stellar Blade, then; hoping that such an Xbox port will happen somewhere down the line.
